60T Ratchet Upgrade. Standard RS240SL and GSL241 hubs can be upgraded to 60T ratchet engagement (6 degrees) for R1,000 - near-instant power transfer, particularly noticeable on technical climbs and sprint efforts. RS180SL, CS180SL, GS230 and XS280 come with 60T as standard. The 60T upgrade is not compatible with the RS240 4-pawl hub.
Rider Weight Limit. Most Plus Aero wheelsets are rated to 120kg total system weight (rider + bike + kit). The RS180SL ultralight hub build is rated to 80kg. Always ride within the stated limit - exceeding it voids the warranty.
Carbon Spoke vs Spoke. Carbon spoke wheels (AXL 20H, CSL) use the CS180SL exclusively - it's the only hub that accepts T-head carbon spokes. All other wheelsets use traditional J-bend or straight-pull spokes with steel or titanium freehubs.
