Our latest wheelset features a 50mm rim, 33.8mm wide, with an internal width of 24mm, crafted with our innovative triordeal U shape. It is available with two configurations: a 20H carbon spoke or a 24H Sapim CX-Ray elliptical internal nipple spoke setup. Both hubsets boast the finest aerodynamic profile, tailored for the discerning customer who is at the heart of our innovation.

Continuing with the rear wheel, it features a 31mm wide, 24mm internal width, and a depth of 60mm, designed with a more traditional aero V profile. Again, you have the choice between a 20H carbon spoke or a 24H Sapim CX-Ray internal drilled nipple, complemented by the best ratchet and premium stainless bearings from the renowned manufacturer, HOPE.

Exploring the technical details further: Our CFD studies reveal that U-triordeal shaped rims can reduce aerodynamic drag by around 3-5% compared to traditional V-shaped rims of similar depth, such as our 50mm front wheel, while providing superior stability in crosswinds. U-shaped rims ensure smoother airflow transitions, minimizing steering torque in gusty conditions. Moreover, deeper rims, like your 60mm rear wheel, significantly enhance aerodynamic efficiency. The U-shaped profile smooths airflow, reduces turbulence, and increases wheel stability in crosswinds.

On the other hand, V-shaped rims, especially deeper ones like your 60mm rear wheel, excel at sustaining higher speeds due to their reduced frontal area, which is ideal for straight-line speed. In terms of percentage improvements, a deeper V-shaped rim might boost aerodynamic efficiency by 2-4% over shallower rims. By incorporating internal nipples and slightly adjusting the front and rear, we optimize Aero gains, estimating a 9% improvement over a traditional deep-section wheelset. As previously mentioned, our new configuration is further enhanced with the option of 30mm tires, offering excellent rolling resistance depending on psi, making the PLUS AXL the ultimate choice for maximum Aero gains—truly "AS GOOD AS IT GETS."
